Our Story


Serving Indiana Drivers for Over 95 Years

Theodore Uebelhor grew up assisting customers at the H. M. Uebelhor General Store in St. Henry, IN. In the mid 1920's, he began selling cars and trucks at the Holder Company. In 1929, Theodore purchased the Chevrolet dealership in St. Meinrad, IN, which he operated until 1942. At that time, "Ted" Uebelhor and John Struckman purchased the Chevrolet dealership in Jasper, IN.

The two partners added an Oldsmobile dealership in 1947, followed by a Cadillac store in 1949. Ted's son Paul purchased Mr. Struckman's stake in the company in 1962, and Uebelhor and Sons Motor Company was born.

Ted passed away in 1977, so Paul carried the Uebelhor tradition into the second generation. Two of Paul's sons - Chris and Tony - joined the organization full time in 1983. The Uebelhor's added a Toyota dealership in 1989 and a Scion store in 2005. By 2006, the Uebelhor's expanded by adding a GMC-Cadillac dealership in Vincennes, IN.
