    * Volvo knows a car is more than a machine, it's an escape. The 2014 S60 is just that, a luxurious mechanism to take you far from your troubles. This sophisticated ride is the perfect balance of confidence and innovation. With standard leather interior available in an array of colors, this car is tailor made to suit you. Rest your hands on the expertly crafted 3 spoke Sport leather steering wheel, with Silk Metal inlays. A power glass sunroof keeps the sun, or the stars, shining on you at all times. A keyless drive with a personal car communicator that unlocks your car when it senses you are near and auto-dimming rearview mirrors keeps things convenient and easy. Dive into your easy ride with an HD radio, 60/40 folding rear seats, Volvo Sensus with 7 inch high resolution color screen, and USB, iPod & Bluetooth streaming audio technology. Feel like spoiling yourself even more? Add on the Premiere Plus or Platinum packages for a rear park assist camera, navigation system with voice control and map care, and a Volvo premium sound system. The S60 also boasts 17 Pandora alloy wheels, with options for 18 Ixion or Titania alloy wheels. Keep your escape moving with a 250 hp turbocharged 5 cylinder engine. Why not even go all the way with 300 or 325 hp turbocharged 6 cylinder engine. And of course, the S60 is designed to keep you safe at all times with seat belt reminder, SIPS airbags, Whiplash Protection System on front seats, and rain sensors this car will keep you safely traveling. The S60 isn't just perfect for you, it was made for you. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

I have owned this car, certified pre-owned, since 8,800 miles (approx.). I've put a little over 5,000 miles on it since, and I can't say much of anything negative about it. Ember Black Pearl metallic paint is a WONDERFUL color. If there is anything I would improve, it would be the dashboard. There is an area around the central air vent that's missing an aluminum ring around it (compare it to the outer air vents), and I wouldn't mind having the dashboard wrapped in stitched leather. (It's soft-touch plastic.) Mercs, Jags, Lexuses and Audis probably have marginally-better attention to the finer details. That being said, short of a few niggles on the interior, there is absolutely NO shortage of comfort. The leather and seats are soft, sumptuous and supportive enough for the average sport driver, though those dedicated to the art would likely prefer a REAR-wheel drive car. The rear seat room is a little tight so I wouldn't recommend it for VERY long hauls. You better not mind frequent trips to the grocery store because of its small trunk. And if you get the Sport Package, be prepared to feel the imperfections in the road. On the flip side, with the sport suspension, it corners every bit like a BMW or a Cadillac. It's a beautiful, stylish and unique car that's a fantastic alternative to the more common German choices. It feels put together like a drum, and projected reliability (and experienced, in my case, so far) is excellent. Fuel economy is terrific (I only fill up about once a month AND it takes Regular gas), and it's a wonderful value if you're buying CPO. For the same price as a mid-range Camry or Accord, you can buy this beautiful, efficient and stylish full-on luxury car, fully-loaded, fast and fun. And its base engine is equal or superior to the competitors' offerings in both power and efficiency. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.
    • Catastrophic Engine Failure at 47,000 Miles

This is not the first Volvo I’ve owned, but abysmal reliability and utter lack of commitment on the part of the company has ensured it will be the last. I have had nothing but issues with the vehicle. Firstly, the passenger wiring harness had to be replaced at 35,000 miles, followed closely by the transmission at about 37,000 miles. The latest development is with the timing belt, which broke at 47,000, rendering my car useless. What’s worse is that I was 8 days out of warranty; thus, Volvo of North America refused to cover the cost of repairs (a hefty $10,000). It must be noted here that I reported unusual engine vibrations about 10,000 miles ago (likely related), but the dealer failed to diagnose an issue, and told me that “[they couldn’t] just keep throwing parts at it,” even though, the car was under full warranty at the time. At any rate, I hope that no one else has had a similar experience, but I am done with Volvo. Charging a premium while failing to assume accountability for the quality of a product or service is a dishonest business practice that is unfortunately becoming commonplace, but it isn’t one that I expect Volvo to engage in. I was wrong.

I've owned a BMW 3 series and test drove the Mercedes C250 and this car is so much better. It's very luxurious and had so much more value than either the MB or BMW. I drove it on the autobahn and it is near the standard of the German cars. My only real complaint and it is small is that there is no real stroage cubbies in the cockpit. Other than that, the driving dynamics are excellent as well as the overall ownership experience. We utilize the dealer in Pensacola and they are awesome.
